Happy 2020 my Fitness Friends!!! Wow! It has been 4 years since I typed my last blog and to that I say, I'm sorry. You know, I could easily tell you it's because my life is crazy busy being a MOM, Business Owner and Wife...but I won't. Too many times, we fall into the "I'm too busy to workout because (fill in the blank). Well, today my friends, I am here to say ENOUGH WITH THE EXCUSES! We are in a new decade and it's time to start focusing on YOUR fitness goals. Did you make a New Year's Resolution this year? You know what I did? I made a New Year's Resolution aka New Decade Resolution to stop putting so much pressure on myself to do EVERYTHING for everyone else while putting myself last. If there's one thing I learned about 2019, the stress I put on myself to make sure I planned a perfect event last year without anyone else helping, took EVERY phone call that rang even if I had finally just sat down after training back to back clients and needed a "mental" moment to decompress. Well, I almost made myself sick with trying to please everyone and be available at ALL times. You know what I learned? This year, I will not put pressure on myself or let myself be taken advantage of to do EVERYTHING because people know I'm competent and will get the job done. If I haven't had anything to eat in 6 hours and I finally have a chance to grab a piece of fruit before returning that phone call or email...I will fuel my body FIRST, then take care of the call/email. You know, I will say that the one thing that I never compromised was my WORKOUTS. I knew that the one time that I had to myself in which I wasn't responsible for encouraging a client to EAT RIGHT, get through their workout and cheerlead them to victory or answer to "Mom, Mom, Mom!" was at 3:30 in the morning. I knew that once I was into my workout getting the blood flowing at 4AM that I had that next hour until 5AM (my hubby would come down for his workout in our fitness studio right at 5...and still does) to focus on ME. However, I came to realize that since clients know I'm up that early working out, they would start to text me during my workout time and you know what? I would STOP my workout to respond. Well, let me just say...I LOVE my clients but in 2020 if you text me during my workout time, you will not get a response until I'm having my breakfast before my first client. I have decided to embrace my ME TIME and treat it as it's supposed to be ME TIME. How about you? How many times do you tell yourself "I'll start working out TOMORROW." Then tomorrow comes and goes...START TODAY. Find that time that works best for you and carve it out to mentally DE-STRESS, set the tone for your day or end your day strong...but it's all about YOU. The great thing about having a Personal Trainer is that during your session time, it is about YOU and you only. Your workout is customized for YOU. Want to vent about work, spouse or maybe even kids? I GOT YOU!!! I truly feel blessed to be a LifeChanger and to have such great clients who have become FAMILY to me. If you have thought about having a Personal Trainer but have been fearful of getting one, fear no more! Look into getting one that works for you, your personality, fitness goals and schedule. The great thing about training with me is, I have OVER 25 National Accredited Credentials, I've been a Master Personal Trainer for 20 years now, I train in the privacy of my home in my fitness space which is fully equipped with high end gym equipment, I'm a MOM so I can relate to that Mom Life and I absolutely LOVE what I get to do for a living! So REACH OUT to me anytime if you are interested in getting a consultation and want to make a change for the positive and make fitness your LIFESTYLE. I am here for you!!
So, now that I have just gone on and on...I have decided that for 2020 I am going to go back to doing a bi-weekly blog. Shoot me any fitness related questions you may have and I will do my very best to answer it in my blogs. Ladies and Gentlemen, we are in this game together...fitness game that is! I will blog when my next TV Fitness segment is as well, so that you can make sure you either wake up with me LIVE or set your dvr so that you don't miss my latest fitness segment and I will also try to post it here on my blog too.
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and for welcoming me back to the world of blogging! I might post on topics related to being a Mom to a BUSY, ACTIVE kid and how to still get in some time for YOURSELF. I'll blog about a lot of different things, so stay tuned. HAPPY 2020 and as always, Stay Fit and Happy!!!
